2 Pairs = 4 Pads, two of each.
FIRM Pads give laterally meaning they are less stable than Hard. If your horse is calm, takes everything in stride, and is not recovering from any illness or injury you may start with Firm.
FIRM SLANTS are made of the same material as the standard FIRM Pads therefore, they will give more under the horse’s weight than HARD SLANTS. The lateral give makes the FIRM SLANTS more demanding and may be beneficial to many horses, similar to the FIRM Pads.
Most horses appear to prefer the FIRM SLANTS heel high. Horses suffering from laminitis can find comfort by standing on FIRM SLANTS.
FIRM SLANTS may be used under any hoof and in any direction; heel high, heel low, or laterally (supination or pronation). Horses may stand anywhere along the angle of the pad from the thin leading edge to the full height (up to 3”) at the back.
